Read moreMy world used to be IT related academic R&D, since 2012 more practical: Platform team engineer at a leading hosting company. Since 2021, during the pandemic (contemplating times), I moved on to Cyber Security at a top notch Belgian Scaleup.
I have a very broad interest in ICT with main focus on Linux based open source technologies, but my pragmatic mindset does not make me adverse to for example Microsoft technologies.
As an engineer I like to solve problems, the harder the better. I try to contain my bottomless curiosity to platform engineering, devops, software architecture (mainly backend) and implementation. Ideally I learn every day. Go home with a smile, anticipating the new opportunities my learnings offer to the team, company and myself.
Specialties: Linux, open source technologies, software design/implementation and devops (CI/CD, …) Programming languages (in order of preference): Go, Python, Bash, Java, C++, .NET, Perl
Favourite technologies of the moment: Kubernetes, Go, Kafka
